Our Story
My name is Shenita and I created Ms. Selina’s Creations for my children — especially for my daughter. I wanted to build something that would inspire her, uplift her, and remind her of who she is. I wanted her to feel special. I wanted her to know that no one can take away the joy and light that God placed inside of her.
This brand has evolved over 12 years not just for my daughter, but for every young lady — especially ones who may have had people in their lives try to dim their light or make them feel small.
Everything I create is meant to help them shine even brighter. And even if someone has tried to dim their glow, my creations are designed to remind them who they are — and help their light shine again.
I understand what it feels like to have your light dimmed. As a child, I felt worthless. I felt ugly. I felt unwanted and unloved. It took years — and the grace of God, along with the support of my husband — for me to fully rediscover my light.
Now that I have it back, I know my purpose. God gave me a special gift — the ability to create, to draw, to sew, to imagine beautiful things and bring them to life.
God has called me to help other young ladies shine. And if their light feels dim right now, they can shine through my creations until they are strong enough to shine brightly on their own.
